Digital Innovation to fight against TB in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Advocacy Sessions on the Rx-Tracker application

The fight against tuberculosis (TB) requires innovative ideas, stronger partnerships, and community-driven solutions. To help close the gap of “missing” TB cases, the Association for Community Development (ACD) conducted successful advocacy sessions on the Rx-Tracker application. This digital tool is designed to identify and track TB patients who might otherwise go undiagnosed.

As part of the DEPP-TB project, ACD recently organized a series of advocacy sessions on Rx-Tracker across five districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These sessions were held in collaboration with the TB Control Program of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Mercy Corps Pakistan. They brought together district health teams, general practitioners (GPs), and private pharmacies.

During the sessions, participants learned how Rx-Tracker empowers health providers to connect patients with timely care, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey to TB treatment. The enthusiasm and active participation of doctors and pharmacists underscored a collective commitment to protecting communities and strengthening TB control efforts.

Each new partner using Rx-Tracker represents another step toward a healthier, TB-free future for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
